Step-by-step configuration of
Microsoft Internet Explorer and Outlook Express

 

Requirements:

- Instalied Internet Explorer 3.0 or newer and Outlook Express

Internet Explorer is free browser, delivered with any version of windows. Also, you can get it from friend, CD club, or download it from Internet. After instalation, you should configure it as it follows:

- If you use IE 3.X choose View, Options and click on Connection tab.
- If you use IE 4.X choose View, Internet Options, and click on Connection tab.
- In part of window called Connection choose Connect to the internet using a modem, and then Settings, where you will choose previously defined connection to InfoSky
- If you use IE 5.X choose: Tools, Internet options, Connections, Settings, and then either use automatic configuration script, where in field address type http://proxy.infosky.net/proxy.pac, or choose use a proxy server, and then click on advanced.

- Check whether your browser supports Automatic Proxy Configuration. If it does, enter http://proxy.InfoSky.Net/proxy.pac in the URL field and then click Refresh when you are already on the net, and if not,
- in the Proxy server section click by Access the internet using a proxy server and under it enter:
proxy.InfoSky.Net port 8080 and in Advanced field Do not use proxy for enter:
*.InfoSky.Net;*.infosky.net

 

Outlook Express is a free program, delivered with windows instalation. You can get it on all already meniotned ways, too.

- Run Outlook Express, choose Tools, click on Accounts. Choose which account (news or mail) you want to create and click on Add.
After this you will have to answer on few questions releated to you, and not to program fuctionality.
- Imoprtant information for program functionality:
- As InfoSky user, you have your own e-mail address. If your username is laza, then your e-mail address is laza@InfoSky.Net.
In fields for your personal information enter theese values: (for example: your e-mail address = laza@InfoSky.Net).
- In Mail server field you should enter for:
Incoming: pop3.InfoSky.Net, and for
Outgoing: mail.InfoSky.Net.

- In News (NNTP) server filed enter news.InfoSky.Net
